İrem Argın, a student of our faculty, Department of Molecular Biotechnology, orally presented her study titled “SARS-CoV-2 POCT Diagnosis and Cycle Threshold Value (CT-Value) Estimation with Machine Learning Based RT-LAMP and LFA Integration”, which she conducted under the academic supervision of Faculty Member Dr. Dilek Göksel Duru at the 9th International COVID Studies Conference held on February 14-15.
The Success of Assoc. Prof. Orkide COŞKUNER WEBER
One of the faculty members of our department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orkide COŞKUNER WEBER has been nominated for full membership to Sigma XI, one of the oldest and most prestigious scientific societies in the world, which has included more than 200 Nobel laureates such as Albert Einstein, Enrico Fermi, Francis Crick and James Watson since 1886.

The project proposal entitled "Deep learning-based prediction and preliminary diagnosis of childhood trauma biomarkers in MRI images" is approved under the "TÜBİTAK-BİDEB 2209/A" program to support undergraduate research projects.

The team “nanoWISS” established by the students of Molecular Biotechnology and Materials Science and Technology Departments of the Faculty of Science of the Turkish-German University has been awarded financial support for their project “Design of Lipid Nanoparticles for Biofilms” from TEKNOFEST 2023 Biotechnological Innovation Competition in the field of “Bioinformatics and Nanotechnology”.
