TEKNOFEST 2025 Success: Our university's Tez-Türk team in the final!

22.07.2025

As part of the TEKNOFEST 2025 competition for accessible living technologies, the “Tez-Türk” team, representing our university, successfully qualified for the final after being evaluated by the jury. The project, which is developing an electroencephalography-based bionic prosthetic system integrated with artificial intelligence, clearly stands out from existing prosthetic solutions with its hybrid, accessible, personalized approach as well as its contribution to the national technology initiative.

Under the guidance of Dr. Dilek Göksel Duru, our faculty member of the Bioinformatics Division at the Department of Molecular Biotechnology, the project is supported by an interdisciplinary working group within the BIOMED Biomedical Club, chaired by our student and founding member, Adar Barış Alpergin.

This year's TEKNOFEST representative team of the BIOMED Club, which is composed of students of Molecular Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Materials Science and Technology, and Energy Science and Technology, consists of the following members: Cankut Metin (team leader and 4th year Mechanical Engineering student), Sercan Seven (Molecular Biotechnology), Zeynep Örengül and İpek Yılmaz (Computer Science), Berhan Can Salkım (Mechanical Engineering), and Haşim Mert Sezgin (Mechatronics).

We would like to congratulate the BIOMED Biomedical Club, the Tez-Türk team, and their supervisor Dr. Dilek Göksel Duru on this remarkable success and wish them continued success at TEKNOFEST 2025.
